MEET LINCOLN’S ENGINEERING HEROES THAT CHANGED OUR LIVES AT SPARK ENGINEERING FESTIVAL FROM 3-5 MAY 2019

According to the organizers, this years’ SPARK Engineering Festival will be even bigger and better than in previous years. The 3-day celebration of Lincolnshire’s engineering past, present and future will incorporate achievements in Civil Engineering for the first time. The construction of Lincoln’s new Eastern Bypass and its challenges are a prime example of the newly integrated discipline. The same applies to Lincoln Cathedral, the very impressive event location, which is a Civil Engineering masterpiece in its own right.

Together with numerous local engineering firms, NMB Minebea UK contributes to making this event enjoyable and educational at the same time. Over 40 organisations support the festival enthusiastically.

Engineering has always been an integral part of Lincolnshire. Lincoln’s engineers shaped the world with numerous engineering successes. SPARK Festival presents a journey through history to the present day and an outlook on the future. The goal of the event is to inspire the next generation of Lincoln engineers by introducing world-leading researchers and scientists with their worldwide achievements.

Chairman of the festival is Dr. Paul Taylor, Chief Advisor to Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Ltd (China), Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and Honorary Professor in Power Device Technology at Nottingham University.

NMB Minebea UK is looking forward to your visit. The entry is free. More information at www.sparklincoln.org or at www.nmb-minebea.co.uk
