Nicole Hung successfully applies her knowledge in performing her job. It is one of her main tasks to plan and operate the business objectives and monitor them right afterwards. Thanks to the diversity of her functions, she likes working in Controlling a lot. In our interview, she tells us what her job is all about and why she particularly appreciates the location of the company.

“For the high variety of tasks, my work at myonic is never the same but super diversified. I’m dealing with target-performance comparisons, reports and analyses, amongst others. In doing so, I’m a contact person when it comes to commercial matters. Furthermore, I draw up economic efficiency calculations and I document internal performance allocations and transfer pricing systems. Being a Controller, I also take care of preparing papers for investment decisions and approvals. Of course, there are daily challenges to cope with: On the one hand, it’s a top priority for an Economist to grant corporate policy and efficiency. On the other hand, it’s one of the responsibilities to provide services and to represent the company’s requirements. Just as an example: If an investment needs to be made but there’s no budget left, it’s up to the Controlling to find a solution to this challenging task.

I particularly like the idea of being part of myonic, a medium-sized enterprise that works with flat hierarchies. myonic belonging to the MinebeaMitsumi group enables me to be member of an international network of companies with different cultural backgrounds and to be connected to many different product lines. Among my colleagues, there’s a really nice working atmosphere. In addition, the location of myonic is characterized by a rural area and I like theregion’s diversity. There’s lots of lovely places to visit in the surroundings.  On the weekends, I often go on hikes in the mountains with my husband and our three kids. We enjoy spending time in nature and pretty often, we’re staying overnight at alpine huts.”
