MinebeaMitsumi Technology Center Europe GmbH develops and produces smart actuators for active grill shutter flaps adjustment and thus contributes to the reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emmissions of vehicles.

The active grill shutter flap adjustment allows the air flow to be controlled in a targeted manner and improves the aerodynamics of the vehicle. In addition, closing the air flaps during the cold start phase accelerates the engine's heating up.

 

Our actuator technology combines a brushless DC drive, intelligent, programmable control electronics and special developed gear variants. This allows an optimal adaption to customer requirements.

The BLDC drives from MinebeaMitsumi Technology Center Europe are also perfectly suited for future mobility applications. More and more electrified vehicles are being equipped with automated tank & charge port door systems. These do not only increase the handling comfort during vehicle charging, but also allow completely autonomous vehicle charging in the future.
