Forget the Stereotypes – It’s Time to Get Hands-On!
Last Thursday, April 23, 2026, we opened our doors at MinebeaMitsumi in Villingen-Schwenningen to the next generation of female talent. We were delighted to welcome six motivated students for a morning dedicated to exploring the world of technology. Our goal? To break down barriers, dispel stereotypes, and provide an authentic look into the daily life of a global tech company.
Our departments prepared a diverse program that combined theoretical insight with hands-on experience:
- Mechatronics & Industrial Mechanics: Practical insights into our state-of-the-art production processes.
- Technical Drawing: A look behind the scenes—from the initial idea to precise digital planning.
- The Hands-on Project: Putting skills into practice! Through drilling, soldering, and assembling, the participants built their very own functional solar lamps step-by-step.
It was truly inspiring to see the precision and enthusiasm these young talents brought to every task. For us as a company, Girls' Day is a matter close to our hearts. We are committed to actively promoting diversity in technical professions and showing young women that the worlds of engineering and production offer them endless opportunities.
A huge thank you to all the colleagues who supported this morning with such dedication, and of course to our six guests for the fantastic exchange and their curiosity!
