Precise sensors

Sensors are the fixed elements of our daily lives that very seldom enter our awareness. Generally speaking, they hide inside a great variety of devices. Sensors are used in countless areas to detect a wide range of characteristics or conditions. For example, they record deformations, weight, or pressure and convert these changes into electronic signals. In our households, in our cars, or in industry, it’s no longer possible to imagine doing without the detectors that facilitate our day-to-day activities. MinebeaMitsumi is currently developing an innovative bed sensor system that can offer sustainable enhancements to patient care.

Strain gages

MinebeaMitsumi strain gages are at the heart of many weighing technologies and can be found, for example, in common household scales, but also in crane scales or when determining the stress on materials. Even the slightest deformation causes the strain gauges to change their electrical resistance.

Force sensors

Force sensors from MinebeaMitsumi are the perfect choice for bathroom scales, game consoles, household appliances, computer peripherals, automobiles, load sensors and many other applications. The sensors are designed for mass production and use strain gages. Thanks to self-temperature compensation, the sensor is characterized by excellent thermal properties. The accuracy and shape can be individually adapted to your specifications.

Pressure sensors

Pressure sensors

MinebeaMitsumi pressure sensors convert pressure into electrical signals. This is done using innovative "silicone-on-sapphire technology" or strain gauges. The sensors are extremely durable, stable and reliable. The sapphire material properties enable very high accuracy and thermal stability - the sensors work in environments with temperatures of up to 350 degrees Celsius.

Torque transducer

The torque transducer, which measures the rotational force (torque), is available in the flange versions (TMHSA, TMHS, TMHFB and TMOFB series) and shaft versions (TMOS series) with optical transmission method, in the shaft versions (TMNR and TMNR-ME series) with rotational transformer method and in the shaft versions (TMBN series) with sliding method. Torque measurements and torque measurement systems can be designed that are suitable for the respective application.

Load Cells

Load cells

MinebeaMitsumi load cells use our own strain gauges to convert voltage, pressure or weight into electrical signals. Connected to a wide variety of measuring devices, the load cells display, record, control or monitor the respective loads. Depending on the application, the weight should of course be measured as precisely as possible. Spring bodies on the strain gauges make the high accuracy of the load cells possible. The possible applications are extremely diverse.

Vector sensor (3-axis force sensor)

The vector sensor is a sensor that detects the translational force in three directions. The sensor can be miniaturized due to its simple structure and is ideal for applications such as gripping force detection. By using a vector sensor, it is also possible to detect the direction of force.
By connecting and using a special transmitter, you can easily establish a connection to control devices.

Digital displays

These devices are connected to various sensors and transducers, display digital readings and output signals that are used to control and monitor measuring systems. The devices from Minebea Intec are weighing modules that achieve an accuracy level of 10000e Class III. Response times from 10 ms are possible thanks to the high-speed conversion. A 10/100 Mbit/s LAN adapter is also integrated.
