Courtesy Visit by the Japanese Consulate General and JETRO Munich
On July 1st, MTCE had the distinct honor of welcoming a high-level Japanese delegation for an official courtesy visit. We were delighted to host the Consul General of Japan, Mr. Kenichi Bessho, Consul Mr. Toshiya Okuma, and the Director of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) Munich, Mr. Jun Washizawa, at our facilities to discuss current market dynamics and industry innovations.
The visit began with a comprehensive company presentation and an in-depth discussion with our Managing Director, Mr. Hoffmann, followed by a guided tour of our state-of-the-art production areas. The conversation, which took place in a very warm and constructive atmosphere, focused on the key challenges and future trends within the European automotive industry. In particular, the global transition to electric vehicles (EVs), technological developments, and the rising influence of Chinese automakers in Europe were subjects of an engaging exchange of views.
A special highlight of the meeting was when Consul General Bessho emphasized the strong international ties within our corporate group, recalling his meeting with our Chairman, Mr. Kainuma, during a previous visit to the MinebeaMitsumi plant in Cambodia.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed guests from the Consulate General and JETRO for their visit, their valuable insights, and the inspiring economic dialogue!
