More than 80 MTCE employees took part in the popular running event / Trainees organised the company booth

MinebeaMitsumi Technology Center Europe GmbH was part of the sixth Villingen-Schwenningen Company Run on 19.07.2023. The enthusiasm for the event was already very high in the time running up to it: There were more than 2500 pre-registrations in total. MinebeaMitsumi was one of the largest teams, with 89 runners. To prepare the runners for the event as best as possible, the company health management team organised a weekly running meet-up for all interested.

Lace up your running shoes for a good cause

Charity was also an essential part of the running event this year. The sports agency n plus sport GmbH donated per participant to regional, charitable aid organisations and to projects of the official charity partner Plan International Deutschland e.V., a children's aid organisation that campaigns for children's rights worldwide. Part of this year's donations went to an educational project for children in Uganda.

Better together

The starting signal for the runners was given at 6 pm. Under the motto "Better together", the participants completed the 5-kilometre course along the exhibition grounds through the neighbouring forest areas in small teams, each at their own pace. In the race for the largest group of participants, MTCE came in a proud 4th place at the award ceremony. This year, the Technology Centre's trainees and students again contributed significantly to the event's organisation in the run-up: the stand was set up, and refrigerators and benches were collected for seating. The team also took care of the supply of drinks at the self-built bar with total commitment.
