Interoperable network components
for Open Cities

PE Smart Urban Network by Paradox Engineering is the most flexible and complete Smart City solution on the market, providing the most advanced ready-to-use smart software and hardware components to build a self-configuring and self-healing 6LowPAN wireless mesh network, fully engineered for affordable ease of deployment and auto-commissioning processes.

A new generation, more benefits

The Neptune generation enhances PE Smart Urban Network’s flexibility and interoperability, and enables Open Cities to design and implement a non-proprietary infrastructure to manage multiple services at once, allowing seamless integration of third party systems and devices.

The Neptune generation also offers City managers higher efficiency and greater quality in operating key urban services, with improved decision making and quicker return on investment.

Open Cities

Smart software and hardware

Main components of PE Smart Urban Network are:

PE Smart CMS Neptune
PE Smart CMS

The open management platform for smart, secure City services, controlling small up to large networks with with hundreds of thousands of connected objects.

With a standard-based data model, it grants the highest possible interoperability. The Software Development Kit allows customers and third parties to independently add features and applications, customizing both front-end and back-end.

PE Smart Lighting Node - NEMA version

Supporting 7-pin NEMA twist-lock sockets, it can be seamlessly integrated with any LED/HID luminaire and third-party system to enable the full remote control of connected streetlights, performing on/off and dimming functions, executing schedules and customized patterns.

It supports dynamic sensor-based lighting if connected to additional motion sensors, vehicle traffic counters, tilt sensors and other devices.

PE Smart Lighting Node Zhaga
PE Smart Lighting Node - Zhaga version

Plug-and-play controller of luminaire systems, RF-Nodes, sensors and LED drivers, supporting 4-pin Zhaga Book 18 connector twist-lock sockets. Based on standardized DALI2 protocol and specified power supply, it represents a toolless and flexible solution to allow smart remote management of single or grouped luminaires.

Streetlights can be switched on/off and dimmed, while executing stored schedules to ensure quality of service, at the same time reducing power consumption.

MinebeaMitsumi Smart Parking Sensor

Highly performing and reliable wireless vehicle detection sensor for Smart Parking applications. Thanks to the combined use of earth magnetism and radio frequency, it grant the highest possible accuracy in vehicle detection.

It can be easily fixed onto the road surface, the built-in battery ensures up to 10 years life. It stands outdoor installations (IP67 protected), resisting harsh weather conditions and high mechanical constraints.

PE Smart Gateway
PE Smart Gateway

Device and data coordinator of PE Smart Urban Network, it can natively manage Wireless IoT and Wireless HighSpeed IoT technologies, supporting sensor-based applications and data hungry services in one truly integrated device. IPv6/6LoWPAN and TCP/IPv4 protocols are both supported.

The embedded web interface allows easy network configuration and monitoring. It can trigger condition-based applications thanks to digital input to connect motion or light sensors, vehicle traffic counters, tilt sensors and other devices.

PE IoT Engine

SubGHz IPv6/6LoWPAN hardware radio communication device to build interoperable, fully customized solutions and applications for the Internet of Things.

Adhering to uCIFI Alliance standards, it allows to connect any kind of sensors and actuators to PE Smart CMS and PE Smart Urban Network. It features low power capabilities plus an external battery to ensure continuity of operations.
